Wild Horses Carson City 🐴

The wild horses of northern Nevada are legendary and numerous. So much so in Carson City, the capital of Nevada, that they frequent green grass in industrial areas! These three wild mustangs were hanging out to grab some shade. The male horse got a little too excited from all of the attention, well, in any event, he was relaxed and not worried about us filming them! Nevada State Museum in Carso...

Lone Cygnet with Swan Parents

Swan pair with a lone cygnet! In this heartwarming video, I captured a beautiful swan pair with their lone cygnet in the grass by the canal in front of my house. The young bird, likely around two weeks old judging by its size, seems to be enjoying a peaceful moment with its attentive parents. Typically, a swan clutch consists of multiple cygnets, so I couldn't help but wonder what might have ha...

Mule Deer - wildlife safari in Nevada
Просмотров 3021 день назад
Mule deer in Nevada. This trip we saw a lot of wildlife. The pronghorns, snakes, lizards, owls and now a bunch of mule deer. It was like being on a safari! You can tell these are mule deer by the large ears, like that of a donkey and the black tipped tail. Too bad we did not film them pronking! But they did run a bit. We spotted two different small herds. One of them had a male, just starting t...

Pregnant Pronghorn in the outback of Nevada

We came across this large pronghorn, a deer like or even gazelle like animal in the middle of nowhere in North-west Nevada. We were tying to drive into the Flying M Ranch by the Walker River State Recreation Area, which used to be owned by the Hilton’s, as in that Hilton family. He has a runway and cool ranch out these parts, but we ran low on gas and had to abort. We did get back there the nex...

Hi mate, great video. Was just wondering if I was able to use a couple of seconds of this for an upcoming video? I’d obviously be happy to credit you as well
Thanks, yes, that is fine. Thanks for asking!
@@pijnacker01 thank you much appreciated 🙏🏻
@CyberFishing drop a line, no pun intended, when it’s online!
My favourite birdsong from childhood. Thankfully, there are loads around here.. and Wood Pigeons.... but too many folk have cut down trees😢
I'm in North London
Such a pity, trees are so lovely .
Divine peace!!😍😍🙏🙏🙏
Amazing that their enemies called them cannibals while wiping them off the face of the earth.
I’m a widow as of February of last year, and this has actually provided some dark humor for me, thank you
Dear Maria, I’m so sorry for your loss. My mom just passed, exactly a week ago, to the hour. Her husband, my stepdad is like a deer looking in the headlights. It’s so hard for us as her children to comprehend. Yet for a soul mate, I can’t even imagine. I pray 🙏 for you. Thank you for sharing and take care.
@@pijnacker01 I’m sorry for your loss too. I haven’t lost a parent yet and I’m not looking forward to it. Thank you for the cute video

Awesome find bravo!!! 🙌
Thank you, was a bit of a search, but we found it!
Fascinating. When you are in Northern Nevada, in the middle of the desert and you find these artifacts and wonder: "How did they live here?". But they lived and thrived for thousands of years. When you think about the last time water was there, it's mind-blowing. Thank You for sharing with us. I study the glacial striations and water marks and I have found petroglyphs under the striations, meaning they were older than previously thought. Pyramid and Winnemucca Lakes have been altered. Most man-made lakes are covering something. Most natural lakes are altered. Beavers are the only animals that should create dams. I don't care about progress. Dams actually do the opposite. Absolutely Amazing Place. I think they are older than 15,000. Hey! Are those some kind of fossil from dinosaur shells of some kind? They are too similar to not be something. Notice the outside casings? We need to test these for DNA. I believe those petroglyphs are drawn on fossils. There are mangrove roots and everything there. I had a giant dinosaur stomach with a partially digested omnivore inside of it and these reminded me of that. Cool videos. Nevada gets overlooked because it's too hot or cold, but there's so much history there. I think things get so old, we don't recognize them anymore. Every rock is something. Lol
Good point. They thrived, for thousands of years. I wish we would have adopted a more nature (for me, that is God) first approach to the governance of our nation or any nation for that matter. I’m with you. This site may be from well before the younger dryas period. Much older then Göbekli Tepe in Turkey. Let that sink in. I was at a site in Nevada by the CA border. Northern Nevada. It was the old ranch from Hilton, with an old runway and all on the Walker River. It’s said there is an extensive petroglyph site out there, but we did not find it. What was interesting was there was some fellow that was claiming back in the 80,s that this was the garden of Eden! Point is, this entire region is ancient and goes way back…

A beautiful trip on the 17 mile drive. Last time I was there was in 2005, thanks for refreshing my memory David.
I never knew of is drive! Certainly well worth the 12 dollars. Was a beautiful location.
Awesome. They think that stick with 2 circles represents the adladle. For the patina to go back to the original color takes thousands of years. Diverting the water and cutting all of the trees to make charcoal for processing metals ruined a lot of stuff. There are charcoal kilns near Fallon and railroad tracks that ran from the trees to the kilns, to the internment camps. That used to be a giant lake and Juniper forest. Juniper doesn't grow back. There would have been marshes and grasslands. I don't see any glacial striations. I'm wondering if they ever tested bombs out there. At 25:28, those 2 jets are chasing a smaller craft. You can barely see it above the jets but it's there.
Hi, thanks, indeed heard that later as well that two ⭕️ circles with a line is a ahtlatl, which I believe is what you mean? What a pitty that we were so destructive of the land back when. We could have learned from the indigenous tribes a lot. That whole plain was once a huge, ancient lake that covered much of northern Nevada! Lake Lahontan was its name and indeed Pyramid lake is all that is left. Have a great day.
What a cool place. Prehistoric . Around 8:00 those look like the mangroves in Utah and Arizona. That would have been a wonderful shelter area. I always follow the ancient waterways. It seems like there never was water there, but there was. Pyramid Lake, Tule Lake, Tulare Lake and Lake Bonneville were immense bodies of water that connected Native tribes throughout the West. I think these are even older than that. Love the enhancement app. Thank You for sharing with us. 😊 I had never seen this site. Cool.
This was truly an amazing site. Extremely ancient. One of the oldest in the world! Lake Winnemucca, which is largely dried up, used to be much higher. And long before that, this entire area, accept for the peaks, were that ancient Lake Lahontan. Check out the Lovelock videos I did as well. Pretty amazing. 👍

Phenomenal creatures
Well said.
Was doing a timelapse of the night sky that night. I saw the ISS, but I knew it was coming as I use Stellarium. I didn't know the Starliner was launched at the time, but when I saw the second craft following the ISS, I swung my Fuji X-T2 on a tripod and took a sequence of long exposure shots. As I was using manual focus, was able to get some clear shots, although both crafts are streaks of light. I never got around to putting a timelapse together as I didn't get many frames. I might share what I got at some point. This was Boeing's first attempt at docking the ISS. Yourself, I and a few others on RUclips have captured it on video. With millions of night skywatchers out there, you have to wonder where all the amateur footage is of the Endeavour Space Shuttle docking the ISS. There should be hundreds of videos and photos from earth observers from the last few decades. Makes you wonder.
Excellent story, thank you for sharing. Very good point. This was a pretty cool event to see in the night sky. You’d think there would be way more, and way better, detailed footage of this historic moment.
you are a true messenger . live long
And also to you 🙏
I seem to have dirt or dust beyond thesensor.
Sorry to hear. That’s when I recommend you take it in for a professional clean job.

Sometimes the circles represent "Hoop Dancing". Every hoop has meaning and the dances and dancers are very beautiful. This year the World Finals Hoop Dancing was the best I've ever seen. Watch a couple of the dancers and you will see what I mean. They use up to 16 hoops to recreate animals and insects and the flow of life. The Adleadle is usually represented by a wiggly line. I love this stuff and have been studying Native American culture since I can remember and now with RUclips and good people like you, I can see so many sites I would never have been able to see on my own. I have visited Utah, Arizona, California and Nevada extensively, but this gives me a chance to see everything up close. I have been studying the damage at some of these sites. Especially the sites destroyed by water. There hasn't been water in those areas for thousands of years. There are petroglyphs under glacial striations and that puts that particular place at 12,000 years minimum. 30 million years for Lake Bonneville to have been there. The waterways that were left were diverted to starve out the last of the Indigenous People. Why else would people leave their homes? Water or enemies. The "Relocation Act" of 1863 was the nail in the coffin. Thank You for taking us along.
Thank you 🙏 so kindly for the informative comment. Extremely interesting. I will certainly check out hoop dancing. Have an excellent day.
That was some great wildlife catches David! I'm glad you got to see some of the wonderful places in Nevada on your trip 😀.
